This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Like you, I am new to DA (though I have been coming to this site for a long time). What I've found here is that DA is a community that values artistic growth and has a wonderful tradition of encouraging new users.
This is why I'd like to take the liberty of linking you here: [link]
It is a group of some of DA's finest photographers offering their knowledge to other users.
Looking at your gallery, I see a lot of blurry shots and a lot of shots in which little attention is paid to composition, depth, rule of thirds, etc. These are the key elements of photography that everyone (including myself) must constantly work on to master. At this point, I would, very humbly, suggest that you submit future shots as "scrap" and then choose from among them the very best ones to post as deviations. When an artist must choose which pieces will be displayed in an art gallery, he must choose his best ones, as he cannot display them all and as he doesn't want to draw attention away from them with his lesser works.
I in no way mean to offend you or do anything other than offer you a chance to grow. I myself have learned a lot from what that group has to offer and want to pass on the valuable lessons therein. I think you can benefit from them.
